Misti Morningstar to receive
prestigious
Top MBE Award for
Business Excellence in Maryland
Frederick MD , September 28, 2006 The Governor’s Office
of Minority Affairs (OMA) and The Daily Record announced that
Misti Morningstar, president of Morningstar Design, Inc. located
in Frederick, MD has been named one of Maryland’s Top 100
Minority Businesses for 2006. This program is designed to salute
Maryland’s best minority and women business owners and to
highlight their achievements.
Morningstar Design, Inc. is an award-winning full service advertising
and marketing firm based in downtown, Frederick, MD. The company
specializes in Design, Printing and all forms of Digital Multi-Media
solutions for Business-to-Business and Business-to-Consumer clientele
locally, nationally, and internationally.
A panel of distinguished judges chose Misti Morningstar as an
entrepreneur who has demonstrated outstanding achievement in four
key areas: business development, client satisfaction, professional
affiliations and community outreach.
Sharon R. Pinder, Special Secretary, Governor’s Office
of Minority Affairs said, “The business owners selected
for this award represent the best of the state’s more than
200,000 women and minority owned businesses. Their contributions
have had a major impact in maintaining Maryland’s vibrant
economy.”
Misti Morningstar, president, Morningstar Design, Inc. stated,

The meaning of this award is especially close to my heart because
I myself am a woman and I have worked hard toward my goals. But
helping the community and others succeed will continue to be my

Ms. Morningstar will be honored at an awards ceremony at the
Inn and Conference Center, at University of Maryland University
College, in Adelphi, Maryland, on Friday, October 27.
